Infernal Dictionary-demon? tick? flea?
Lineart from the Dictionnaire Infernal, by Jacques Auguste Simon Collin de Plancy, first published in 1818. Many (all? not sure) of the drawings were made by Louis Breton and then engraved by M. Jarrault. The illustrations of people are fine, but the demons are crafted in delightful detail, often with a cheery twinkle in their eyes. Personally, I think the artist had a lot of fun with these drawings. The book is in French, which I do not speak, so I don't know the actual names of any of the beasties depicted here.

I purchased two sets of my own cards for a facebook giveaway.
They were great quality and the winners of the giveaway were very pleased with them, saying they did not want to send them out but keep them for their own. .
