Inland Empire/Banning postcard

Looking north at Banning, California, which lies between Redlands and Palm Springs just off the I-10. As discussed in my profile, my passion and one goal of my business is to help preserve rural and wild parts of California, while promoting smart growth and development: Banning does not need to grow, but, like most of California, the theology is "if its empty, develop it!" because if its empty (though there might be a farm there) it is being wasted! All this beautiful rural and open space will be filled with more and unneeded houses and stores, though the developers are going to try to have some parks and preserve a little open space, but this is still going to be sad. I used to enjoy exploring this area and taking photos. It was so nice to have a quiet, rural, and wild open area like this, and a nice "small town" like Banning (by So Cal standards) so close to LA....but no more...soon. This future development is called "Rancho San Gorgonio." So get this pic now, as a postcard or in another form, as this view will soon look dramatically different.
