Invitation Postcard - Robert Frost Roads Quote

One of my favorite quotes is from Robert Frost, "Two roads diverged in a wood and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." I converted one of my favorite photos of a dirt road into watercolor to go with the quote. This reminds me of my childhood in the rural south. All of our recreation involved dirt roads, whether we went swimming at the creek, or picked blueberries and blackberries growing in the woods, or went sliding down a leaf-covered hill on a sled made by my Dad. We would often go riding in his old truck in the woods on the dirt roads he grew up on as a child, and we would come to a fork in the road, and he would have to decide which way to go--and it was always an adventure to see what was around the corner. This is very symbolic of life--every moment of life is a decision--and the right decision can make all the difference. This is a great card to send, whether you are encouraging someone who is taking a big step toward an adventure in life, or to let someone know you have reached an important mile marker in your life, or to send as an invitation for a gathering of friends or family.
