Irish Flag Button

This design features the national flag of the Republic of Ireland, which is a country in the North West of Europe. It occupies 26 of the 32 counties of the island of Ireland (which is also known, in the Irish language, as Éire and, in Ulster Scots, as Airlann); the other counties are occupied by Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom. The capital and largest city of the Republic of Ireland is Dublin, which is located on the eastern coast of the island. The orange and green colors on the flag were intended to symbolize the hoped-for peace between Catholics and Protestants.
