Islam encorages one to examine and learn from nature, and the historic experiences of those who have gone before to decifer the teachings and expections of the life we should live. In Islam, prevention is better than cure, we should stay away from the actions (deeds) that would lead to temptations and making wrong choices that would incur destructive consequences. Islam teaches us to value life, ours and the lives of others. There are those who misuse the Quran to condem Islam and muslims as being hell bent on violence. However, Islam is a religion of justice and fairness, against tyrany and oppression. Islam does not go against the law of the land - like for like (eye for an eye) and even futhur encorages to repay kindness with a far greater kindness. Islam encourages one to always be aware of what one does with his tongue, hands, feet, eyes, private parts, wealth, and status. Islam teaches one to live on a path of piety. Islam encorages togetherness and fellowship, mankind was created in tribes and nations. Mankind depend on one another for survival whether we like it or not.
