About This Design

Jain Symbol for OM Patch

Jain Symbol for OM Patch

In Jainism, Om is considered a condensed form of reference to the Pañca-Parameṣṭhi, by their initials A+A+A+U+M. The Dravyasamgraha quotes a Prakrit line: oma ekākṣara pañca-parameṣṭhi-nāmā-dipam tatkathamiti cheta "arihatā asarīrā āyariyā taha uvajjhāyā muṇiyā" AAAUM (or just "Om") is one syllable short form of the initials of the five parameshthis: "Arihant, Asharira, Acharya, Upajjhaya, Muni". The Om/AUM symbol is used in ancient Jain scriptures to represent the Navakar Mantra, which is the most important prayer in the Jain religion. The Navakar Mantra honors the panch parmeshtis (or five supreme beings) in Jainism. Om (or Aum) (listen (help·info); Sanskrit: ॐ, ओम्, romanized: Ōṃ) is a sacred sound, syllable, mantra, and an invocation in Hinduism. Om is one of the most important symbols of Hinduism. It is variously said to be the essence of the supreme Absolute, consciousness, Ātman, Brahman, or the cosmic world. In Indic traditions, Om serves as a sonic representation of the divine, a standard of Vedic authority and a central aspect of soteriological doctrines and practices. The syllable is often found at the beginning and the end of chapters in the Vedas, the Upanishads, and other Hindu texts. The patch came out just as I had hoped, it is not fully embroidered but I knew that! The quality of the image and the patch is great! Fantastic, couldn't be better

The product was overall well made and good quality. The printing clarity could have been a bit better but I understand due to the small size of the patch. The printing was overall good but detail could have been a little clearer and print was a little dark.

I've been wanting our logo on a beanie for months and finally able to do it with these patches! They ironed on perfectly and look amazing! Couldn't be happier! The colors are stunning and they look great on the beanies I put them on!
