Japan has 47 Prefectures (jurisdiction and administrative divisions). This is one of two flags for Tokyo Prefecture, found in the middle of Honshu Island. The design is a green, stylized ginkgo leaf composed of three arcs which also represent "T" for Tokyo . This is the official "symbol flag" which is flown on informal occasions and is the flag most often seen around Tokyo. (The official "metropolitan flag" for Tokyo is also available.)
