japanese akita dog portraits realist art calendar

This original 2015 calendar is filled with akita portraits. there's some amazing looking Japanese and American type akita portraits in this unique calendar, I've painted the dog portraits for many years. These paintings have been created in soft pastel and water-colour medium and they're worked in a realist style. I like to capture the unique character of each akita that I paint, hopefully the unique personalities of the akita's in this calendar shine out. The name of each dog is printed below the picture. I paint from digital photos to create these akita portraits, I like to work from digital photos because I can use lots of different images of a much loved pet and create an original one off portrait and I can zoom right into the photo of the dog to enable me to get the tiniest of details. In this calendar you'll see portraits of a black akita, white akita and a white long coat, there's a black brindle akita, pinto akita, black and a white akita along other amazing akita's.
