Japanese Haiku Acrylic Sign with Wood Base

Japanese Haiku Acrylic Sign with Wood Base

The Haiku Translation "This world of dew is a world of dew, and yet, and yet..." This piece is centered on one of the most moving verses in Japanese literature. Written by Kobayashi Issa after the passing of his daughter, the poem acknowledges the Buddhist teaching that life is as fleeting as morning dew. However, the final line—sari-nagara ("and yet")—captures the raw, beautiful human struggle to let go of those we love.
