Jerusalem Wedding Mandala Foil Card

This design shows the city of Jerusalem arranged in a mandala. At its center, it shows wedding rings under a huppah, the Jewish wedding canopy. At a Jewish wedding, the Jerusalem Temple is recalled. The design includes the Temple surrounding the huppah, as well as an ancient palace. Lilies of the valley and music notes decorate the area around them, a reference to the Biblical quote that the sounds of a wedding, like music and the voice of the wedding party, will be heard again the city. Other layers show Jerusalem's walls, gates, ancient homes, hills, and trees. The outer layer shows modern Jerusalem, including a bridge, famous sites, and contemporary buildings.The mandala is framed by a traditional Jerusalem arched window, with a row of tulips at the bottom.
