About This Design
John Day, Oregon Postcard
John Day is a scenic high-desert community in eastern Oregon, surrounded by rugged hills, open sagebrush country, pine forests, and dramatic geological landscapes. The town is closely associated with the John Day Fossil Beds region and the rich natural and paleontological heritage of the surrounding area.
The illustration should evoke the peaceful character of eastern Oregon with expansive skies, warm sunlight, distant rugged mountains, sagebrush-covered hills, and subtle references to the area's fossil and geological history. A calm, inviting composition should capture John Day as an authentic destination for travelers exploring Oregon's high desert.
