Katsushika Hokusai's The Great Wave off Kanagawa
A classic artwork that has passed into the public domain and makes wonderful gifts and other products.
This is from the his famous series Fugaku sanjūrokkei or "Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji", and has been edited and enhanced for this product. It is probably his most famous work.
Katsushika Hokusai was influential both in and out of Japan, despite the closed nature of the society. Many styles and techniques of the European Impressionists and Post-Impressionists are traceable to his influence.

Experiencing this design firsthand was a pleasure. It's charming, cute, and captivating. The handle is sufficiently wide, ensuring it's very comfortable to grip. I appreciate that it's printed in the US, and I'm hopeful that in the future the mugs too. The print and colors are bright and vivid. The specific style of the mug, with the inside and handle colors, adds something extra to the design, making it elegant and modern in style.
