Kennox House – Clan MacAlister Jigsaw Puzzle
The MacAlister clan dates to the mid-1200s but is relatively new to Kennox House, which was built after John Somerville purchased the land in 1700. Kennox House came into possession of the MacAlister clan chief in in 1792, when Charles McAlester, 12th of Loup, only son of Angus McAlester of Loup, Chief of the Clan MacAlister, married Janet, daughter and heiress of William Somerville. It has also been spelled as Kenox, in 1832, and Kennoch, in 1792.
The clan is a branch of Clan Donald, being considered the earliest branch to have split from the main. The MacAlister clan claims descent from Alasdair Mor, son of Domhnall, founder of Clan Donald, and originated in the Western Isles. Clan members were Jacobites and lost their lands and fortune following the 1745 uprising. It is considered a Lowland Clan as Kennow House is located in North Ayrshire, Parish of Dunlop Scotland.

I customized a puzzle as a fund raiser for my adoption. I wanted a puzzle that I could "sell" pieces to raise money, and write the names of all the donors on the back of the pieces. The puzzle arrived ahead of the projected delivery date, and the quality was incredible! The backs were clean and the different sizes and shapes worked perfectly for writing names. I have finished putting the puzzle together, and I just need a frame to put in on our new baby's wall with the names of everyone who helped us bring him home written on the back! Image quality was great! The wording was sharp, and the picture was just the right amount of fuzzy (the picture was drawn and colored with pencil shading).
