Kichijiro Kidani Small Gift Bag
Kichijiro Kidani was born on December 24, 1858, in Awakizaki Village, Ishikawa County, Kaga Province, as the eldest son of Sakuzo Kidani. His family was a branch of the wealthy Kidani family, which was known for its merchant activities during the Kaga domain era. He made his fortune as a businessman in Kobe and returned to his hometown at the age of 63 to live a simple life. He donated large sums to students, social causes, and educational institutions without expecting anything in return. The design is based on the 'Kidani Family Crest' published in 'Kichijiro Kidani' by Takahisa Shimizu.
