Kiddieland Melrose Pk. Vintage Neon Sign Post Card

If you grew up in the near west suburbs of Chicago you probably have memories of going to Kiddieland this old fashioned amusement park that used to be at North & 1st Aves in Melrose Park. It was a starter park aimed at younger children they had a roller coaster and Ferris wheel but they weren't huge. The big attraction was the miniature train that ran around the outside of the park. Way back in the old days if you had a birthday party they had an old fire truck that could come and pick your party up. It was a sad day for many of us when this place closed a few years back. The Costco is nice but there will never be many life long memories made there. Any way we are offering this little bit of Kiddieland a post card made from a Polaroid SX-70 photo of their iconic neon sign blazing in all it's glory.
