Kiku Water Round Seal
The Kiku Water crest is a variation of the Chrysanthemum crest, symbolizing the chrysanthemum and water. According to Numata's 'Japanese Crests,' it's a type of chrysanthemum crest. In the Heian Monkan and Mon Den, it's also classified under chrysanthemum crests. The Kiku Water crest originated from the Kusunoki family's crest and is associated with the Minatogawa Shrine. One theory is that Masashige, fearing the honor, modified the chrysanthemum crest given by Emperor Go-Daigo by changing the lower half to water. The crest is linked to the Kusunoki, Wada, Hashimoto, and Kaijo families.
