Kikyo in Combination Square Travel Mug
The kikyo crest is in the combination square. It is famous as the crest used by the great hero of the end of the Edo period, Ryoma Sakamoto. The outer frame of the crest name is called 'kumiai kaku'. According to Yoichi Tsurugi, a historian of the late Edo period, in 'Kamon Daizen' (supervised by Soichiro Honda), it is called 'combined masu'. However, in 'Monsho no Saikaihoken', it is called 'overlapping squares', and in major crest books such as 'Monshin', 'Hei'an Monkan', and 'Mon no Kokoro', it is called 'kumiai kaku', so we followed this.
