"Kindred Spirits", Anne of Green Gables, PEI 2018..... This is a Reproduction of my original Acrylic Painting on Canvas 11x14............................................................ "Kindred Spirits" was inspired by the novel "Anne of Green Gables' by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery in 1908. It recounts the adventures of Anne Shirley, an 11 years old orphan who is mistakenly sent to a middle aged brother and sister who had wanted to adopt a boy to help on their farm in Prince Edward Island. The novels tells Annes story of her life with the Cuthberts, school, being in her new town and her special friendship with Diana Barry her "Kindred Spirit". I chose gold plated so that the metal would not react with my skin oils and perspiration. But, I changed the necklace from the gold plated one to a sterling silver. My skin cells will tarnish the silver. But it will not look as bad if some portion of the gold plated necklace somehow became compromised. Zazzle did a find job turning the picture into a pendant for me. As you can see, the colors and the printing of the final product, match the preview. The picture I took is not very clear. But I am pleased with the product I received.
