Kisses From Daddy Jar (Ice Camo) - Countdown

Kids can struggle to cope with the sheer number of days left until daddy comes home again. A great way to put things in a positive perspective, is to create a countdown with our "Kisses from Daddy" jar! Fill the jar with Hershey(R) Kisses candy, enough for one piece per day of deployment. At the end of each day -- or whenever your child needs a sweet pick-me-up -- have him dip his hand into the kiss jar. When all of daddy's kisses are gone and the jar is empty, that means it's time for daddy to come home! Kisses from Daddy can also be used separately from your child's deployment countdown, as a way for her to feel connected and reinforce positivity with her emotions. We often keep a separate "Kisses from Daddy" jar that children are allowed to dip into whenever they feel blue, and use a special personalized deployment countdown calendar or deployment countdown dry-erase board to track the days remaining.
