Kissing Rock is a big rock formation in Gold Beach, Oregon, along the gorgeous Oregon Pacific Scenic Roadway. There are different stories about how Kissing Rock got its name, but the most common version is this beautiful wayside is where local lovers met. Gold Beach got its name as part of the original Pacific Northwest Gold Rush. Kissing Rock and nearby beach are part of the Beach Treasure Hunt. The three-mile coastline stretching from the South Jetty of the Rogue River to south of Kissing Rock becomes a beachcomber attraction from the beginning of February to the end of April. The Oregon Coast is an amazing journey of seastacks, scenic wayside, and lovely beach to comb.
