Thunderous and beautiful, Koosah Falls tumbles thousands of gallons of water in mere moments. The water is a beautiful icy blue, a hint at its coldness. The second in a string of waterfalls along Hwy 126 in Oregon, this waterfall will take your breath away with its power and majesty. During lower water volumes the rocks part the falls into multiple streams, other times it is a curtain of water as shown here. Fed by the waters of the McKenzie River this is a destination worth visiting. As part of a trio of waterfalls this used to be known as Middle Falls, it is now officially Koosah Falls - Koosah being a Chinook jargon word for 'sky'.
