Kublai Khan T-Shirt
Kublai Khan, the Mongol Emperor who was the grandson of Ghengiz Khan, ruled over China from 1279 until his death in 1294. Eulogised in Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem Kubla Khan, Kublai Khan was known for his patronship of science and the arts and for his longstanding friendship with Italian explorer Marco Polo. Here he is depicted with symbols representing his life and legacy: Mongolian shield and swords, two majestically flying hawks, the Mongolian soyombo sun symbol, and of course, an electric guitar.
