The Pre-Raphaelite oil painting Lady of Shallot by John William Waterhouse is based upon the poem of the same name by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Condemned to a tower prison cell, the Lady could only weave what she saw through a mirror into a tapestry. One day, she saw Lancelot and the knights of Camelot riding by in her mirror and she dared to look directly out her window upon King Arthur’s Camelot. Escaping her curse, she floated down a river towards Camelot, where Lancelot and the knights found her dead body. Depicting the lady with her tapestry draped over the side of her river boat, the painting reflects the pre-Raphaelite emphasis on jewel-like colors, decorative patterns, medieval and early Renaissance compositional styles, and influences from the schools of Romanticism and Impressionism.

This is a lovely reproduction of the classic art piece by Waterhouse which opens to display the full print. I did NOT expect it to be cardboard. For some reason I thought this was a hard case, especially with the top-of-the-line pricing. I don't feel like my iPAD is going to be nearly as protected as I would like, but, it is quite beautiful so I am withholding judgment until I have had it in use for a period of time. Durability will be a prime consideration in ordering a case like this again. Lots of usage? I would think twice. Colors are fine, very nice reproduction of the print.

I have ordered similar products before but disappointed with this one. The clear covering is coming up on the crease/spine of the cover. I am afraid it won’t last and will tear as more is coming up each day. I have only used it for a week and a half so far. . I have attached a picture. The color of the item is great.
