The 'Simpler Times' Collection in MoodWorksMedia features art by Mary Field Terrel, born in 1897 in Madison Connecticut. This photo is six year old Mary and her dog Teddy, who appears in many of her paintings. Yale trained and sent to Paris to study art in the early 1900s, she spent a lifetime with paints and pencils creating art featuring animals, children nature and often - her beloved hometown of Madison Connecticut. This lake watercolor at dawn with white egrets was one of her favorite locations.
