Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (7 June 1848 – 8 May 1903) was a French Post-Impressionist artist. Unappreciated until after his death, Gauguin is now recognized for his experimental use of color and Synthetist style that were distinct from Impressionism. Toward the end of his life, he spent ten years in French Polynesia. The paintings from this time depict people or landscapes from that region.
His work was influential to the French avant-garde and many modern artists, such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. Gauguin's art became popular after his death, partially from the efforts of art dealer Ambroise Vollard, who organized exhibitions of his work late in his career and assisted in organizing two important posthumous exhibitions in Paris. This is the 3rd case I have purchased. It seems sturdy and the designs are so cute. Love that you can personalize them to whatever you want. Soo cute. I’m putting a 5* for customer service as well. The first one come off centered, I contacted Zazzle and they responded quick and sent out a replacement one right away. The print is exactly how it’s seen on the website. At first, the first one I purchased like this, I was put off a bit because it didn’t “sparkle” like the picture showed. Then I reread the description and it said how it’s basically an illusion of sparkles, which made sense. Either way, it’s still so cute and I show it off to everyone.
It’s still a little off centered BUT that’s my fault and how I designed it. It came exactly how I ordered it the second time.
