Last Supper Postcard

The Last Supper by Carl Bloch late 19th century The Last Supper was the final meal that Jesus shared with his disciples before his crucifixion. It took place in Jerusalem during the week of Passover, days after Jesus's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. During the meal, Jesus predicted that one of his disciples would betray him. At the end of the meal, Jesus broke bread and shared it with his disciples, telling them to do this in remembrance of him. Judas Iscariot standing at the front looks back over his right shoulder at Jesus Christ and the other apostles with an ugly expression on his face. Judas later betrayed Jesus to the Sanhedrin in the Garden of Gethsemane
