The LGBT family of the past has now grown to include: "Q," genderqueer persons who do not subscribe to conventional gender distinctions (and also "questioning" persons); "I," Intersex persons whose anatomy is not exclusively male or female; and “A," allies (friends of the cause) and also asexual persons characterized by the absence of venereal attraction. Altogether, we form a significant part of the world's population which has always been here and has always contributed.
