This cover is a completely flat one. If you just want to place it over the white one that you happen to already have, you will have to remove the back layer. It's a thick cover and it didn't exactly work with my wall being all flat. I glued it to the white one that I already had. Works great. Very clean and clear image.

Switch Plate is fantastic quality, thick, solid. Only complaint is that the screws tops are not white to match. I had to paint them myself. Printing is perfect, no complaints.
