Lincoln Memorial At Night - Washington D.C. Tile

Lincoln Memorial at Night. Constructed between 1914-1922, the Lincoln Memorial was fashioned after a Greek Doric Temple, and sits west of the reflecting pool on the National Mall in Washington D.C. The temple contains a large statue of President Lincoln along with the words from two of his famous speeches, the Gettysburg Address and his Second Inaugural Address. Lincoln's Statue was carved by the Piccirilli Brothers. The Memorial was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966. Lincoln was president during the U.S. Civil War, and was author of the Emancipation Proclamation, freeing southern slaves.

From the pictures we needed to replace two tiles that had the old toothbrush and soap dish and the tile guy said two tiles would have to be removed. The tiles were PERFECT! just a slight color difference to the naked eye but they match pretty darn good. Tile guy had to shave the back because the 1957 tile was thinner but as you can see it worked out great! We are elated over the moon happy, Thank you!
