About This Design
Lindsay Clan Balcarres House Folded Greeting Card
The Lindsay clan’s seat is Balcarres House, which dates from 1595 and is located north of Colinsburgh, a village in the East Neuk of Fife in Eastern Scotland. The mansion was built by John Lindsay (1552-1598), second son of David, 9th Earl of Crawford, and became the Lindsay family seat. It has never been associated with the Crawford Clan, which is from western Scotland. Extensive renovations completed in the 19th century were funded by a fortune made in India. The property is protected as a category A listed building, and the grounds are included on the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland, the national listing of significant gardens.
This design features a photograph of the castle, framed with a silvery band. The color repeats in the clan and castle name. The card is rimmed with one of the Lindsay clan's popular tartans. The card’s interior offers the same frame of tartan and silver/grays around a generous white note area. At the bottom is space for your name to make the design all yours. On the back is a tartan square and a brief history of YOUR castle. This versatile card encourages the use of your last name on the front if your branch spells the name differently. It also encourages the addition of a sprig of holly or tinsel and a holiday greeting or “Thank You” in a strategic area. Relish your Scottish heritage with note cards that allow you to “say” whatever you wish.
The photo is copyrighted to kim traynor and licensed for reuse under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/. The tartan is from the Scottish Register of Tartans, which allows usage under a Crown Copyright.

Folded Greeting Card, Size: Standard, 5" x 7", Paper: Signature Matte, Envelopes: White
I was searching high and low for an invitation that went with a fire theme (account my mom wants 70 real live burning candles on the cake) surprise birthday party. I found these and couldn’t buy them quick enough! They far exceeded my expectations! One word of caution is that they default to matte so if you want glossy finish you have to manually select it. I only changed where the 2 clip art pics were located to make space for the text. I even used the default font for the design. Comes with nice white envelopes that don’t need the upgrade. The feedback from the invitees has been amazing. Thanks Cathy for an amazing product!! *please note I redacted sensitive information on the pictures with black mark out. .

This was my first time ordering from Zazzle. I was not disappointed! The card was amazing. I personalized it and that made it even more special. The amazing quality of the card was definitely noticeable. And you really can’t complain about the prices. Perfect. Clear. Not too dark, not too light. Just like it looked online.
