Lisbon iconic city symbols duo wall art sets

Lisbon iconic city symbols duo wall art sets

Print 1- The Tower of Belém is an icon of Portugal. It is located at the margin of the Tejo River and is a landmark of the Age of Discovery.  The Tower is very popular with tourists and is probably one of the most famous Portuguese monuments in the world. Travelers find the stone carving beautiful. This popular Lisbon attraction is made of Lioz limestone blocks. Now, it may look small but this tower was an important 16th-century fortification. The illustration represents the tower of Belém with fidelity and is inspired by the style of vintage old posters. The pair of seagulls add movement and joy to the simplicity of this design. Print 2- This is an illustration of the old Lisbon Bridge at sunset in pink hues. The 25 de Abril Bridge or 25th of April Bridge, Portuguese is a suspension bridge connecting Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, to Almada on the left (south) bank of the Tagus River. The bridge was inaugurated in 1966 and named Salazar Bridge after Portuguese Prime Minister Salazar, who ordered its construction. He ruled as a dictator until 1974. Soon after the Carnation Revolution, the bridge was renamed after the day it occurred. Reminiscent in the design and coloring of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, it was inaugurated in 1966. Both Lisbon and San Francisco are located on seven hills and have trams for transport and suspension bridges. It has two levels, the top level is for cars, and the lower, which was added in 1999 is for trains. When you cross it you get great views of Lisbon, the Tagus, and the Christo Rei statue on the south bank. The style is simple, this illustration is in soft pink tones and is marked by the contrast of the reddish-orange tones of the bridge's painted structure. It was inspired by vintage travel posters. If you want a souvenir of Portugal, this illustrated pair of graceful and iconic symbols of the city of Lisbon is ideal for you. This product is ideal to send/offer to a Portuguese friend, co-worker, a Portuguese language teacher, a relative, someone of Portuguese descent, or someone who appreciates Portuguese culture.
