What is HI-DROPHILIC? HI-Drophilic is a concept taken from the way the ancients Hawaiians used to live. Water was a valuable resource in which our lives revolved. Having access to water meant life and prosperity. Today, Hawaiian or not, many still live by this and have that special connection and respect for the water, whether it is at the beach, rain or even snow! By definition, HI-Drophilic is a play on the word hydrophilic, which means water loving. The Company HI-Drophilic came about when two water enthusiasts away from home in the desert began a conversation of their love of the beach and their desire to return home to the islands of Hawaii to once again rekindle that bond with the ocean. That simple love and desire to return to the ocean grew into a concept, HI-Drophilic. HI-Drophilic isn't just a company and we don't just make shirts...We are a LIFESTYLE.
