Fate/Stay Night is a Japanese visual novel developed by Type-Moon, originally released as an adult game for Windows. The story revolves around the Holy Grail War, a secret magical tournament in which seven mages, known as Masters, summon seven heroic spirits, known as Servants, to fight for the possession of the Holy Grail, which is said to grant any wish. The main protagonist, Shirou Emiya, an amateur mage, is inadvertently drawn into the conflict and becomes a Master, summoning the heroic spirit Saber. The game has three main story routes, each focusing on different themes and character relationships: "Fate," "Unlimited Blade Works," and "Heaven's Feel."
