This north country design, in a warm monochrome palette features a common loon swimming vignetted in center. Softly faded crow silhouettes in the loon's landscape as well as graphic tree branches with little birds sitting in them. My original design, created digitally using my own nature and bird photography as well as an older line drawing I did, is in a black and warm off-white and warm grey colour palette.

I love the pattern, but it is much browner in person than the photo. Also after washing the back fabric shrinks more than the front fabric so the placemat is uneven. The printing is great except for the color which is much browner.
