Every year, nearly 3 million animals are euthanized in shelters in the U.S. A great number of those animals are perfectly sound, and many of them have barely begun life. Many more millions of animals are warehoused in the U.S. and used for medical experimentation and as unwilling subjects for testing consumer products. It's time we love and respect our fellow living creatures (yes, I am a vegan), and rescue them from cruelty and neglect when we can.
