Lyndon Town House, Vermont Postcard

Lyndon Town House, Vermont Postcard

"Lyndon Town House, Vermont" by Catherine Sherman. A beautiful maple tree wearing its fiery red Autumn colors adorns the lawn of the Town House, which was built by the Town of Lyndon, Vermont, in the summer of 1809 as a meeting house for the religious services of four congregations – Baptist, Congregational, Methodist, and Universalist – and for town meetings. The “Town House” was converted in 1851 to town-meeting use only, serving that purpose until 1971. It now houses Lindon Institute classes and community events. On the hillside behind the Town House is the historic Lyndon Center Cemetery. Lyndon is known as the gateway to Vermont's "Northeast Kingdom" (NEK). Lyndon was chartered on November 20, 1780 by the Vermont State Legislature. The town contains one incorporated village, Lyndonville, and three unincorporated villages: Lyndon, Lyndon Center, and East Lyndon. Lyndon is recognized as the "Covered Bridge Capital of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom."

I had never seen these classic science fiction images and most of my friends have not seen them either. They are like little treasures! Amazing quality and fun to send people!

I joined Postcrossing a few months ago and wanted postcards to represent my state well. I found them on Zazzle. I purchased numerous cards and was impressed with all of them. Excellent! The colors are beautiful. The cards have the exact look I wanted. I couldn't be happier.
