Machine Gun Kelly Historical Mug
His nickname of "Machine Gun Kelly" came from his love of the Thompson Submachine Gun, often called a Tommy Gun. His most famous crime was the kidnapping of Charles Urschel. For the crime, he and his gang got away with $200,000 in ransom money. He particularly enjoyed armed robbery and bootlegging, but was caught and arrested in 1933. He spent 21 years in the infamous Alcatraz Prison where he died.
