Magnet: Glaucous-winged Seagull Magnet

This Glaucous-Winged Gull with white head and gray back is giving the camera a sharp look from his (or her!) black eye. He has a bright yellow bill, with a red-oange spot at the end where the chicks peck for food. The wind ruffles the light gray feathers of his back, and his darker gray and white wings ae folded. The bright blue water of Puget Sound has whitecaps showing behind him, and in the distance are the mountains of Olympic Peninsula in shades of blue. Photo copyright Gail Storrs 2007.
