In this winter photo of Mt. Rainier, which rises 14,411 feet above Puget Sound about miles southeast of Seattle, WA, the mountain shows its chilly side. Dark green evergreen trees at the lower left border the light blue foothills. Light on the right side of the mountain reflects off the snow-covered peak that almost fills the frame of the photograph, and blue shadows silhouette the left side, slightly darker than the blue evening sky.
