Title page, The Byrth of Mankynde, Eucharius Rosslin. London, 1540.
Rosslin was a German physician elected to physician of the city to Frankfurt on Main in 1506. Supervising the city's widwives led him to write The Rose Garden, a book about childbirth. The book was translated into English as The Birth of Mankind in 1540.
