Marble Mountains Vietnam Postcard

Marble Mountains, or Ngu Hanh Son, is a cluster of five limestone and marble hills located in Hoa Hai ward, Ngu Hanh Son district, in the southeast of Da Nang city, Vietnam. The five mountains are named after the five elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire), and Tho (earth). All of the mountains have cave entrances and numerous tunnels, and it is possible to climb to the summit of Mt. Thuy. Several Buddhist sanctuaries can also be found within the mountains, making this a popular tourist destination. The mountains are located about 11 km from Da Nang and are a popular spot for sightseeing and spiritual reflection. Visitors can explore the caves and temples, including the Huyen Khong Cave with its large statue of Confucius and the Tam Thai Pagoda. The marble from the mountains is also used to create sculptures and jewelry, which are sold in local shops.
