Marge Mosaic Mask Denim Jacket

"Marge" is part of an ongoing series of mosaic masks I've created. As a child, I used to flip through National Geographic magazines. I was fascinated by the people that had so little, yet wore such ornate makeup. My series of mosaic masks represent my childlike wonderment as I discovered practices halfway around the world. "Marge" is made out of Perdomo smalti, fused glass, vintage glass cabochons, millefiori, buttons and ceramic beads. This denim jacket features "Marge" in all her glory.
