【Maruni Sagari Fuji】The Fuji crest / In the Taika Reforms (645), the surname Fujiwara was given to Nakatomi no Kamatari as a reward for his cooperation with Emperor Tenji. The representative crest is 'Fuji', but it did not come into use until the late Heian period. It is a misconception to consider the Fujimaru crest as the representative family crest of the Fujiwara clan, as it is a popular misconception (from 'Nihon Monshogaku').
