Circa 1940, This flowers and vase painting is one of the rare pieces in existence from Mary Lou Terrel, who spent some time in the western US.
These are Matilija poppies, found in dry sunny areas of Southern California and Baja California.

The artwork on the front of the card is just lovely! It is very detailed and so nice to use for correspondence during the winter months. I have already used two of the note cards. I wanted something that didn't have a Christmas theme. The card stock is heavy and it is a pleasure to write on. I highly recommend this card. The colors were just as pictured and the quality of the printing is excellent.

Note cards are always excellent quality! I prefer the matte typically and inadvertently purchased the semi-gloss for these. For this design, the semi-gloss actually was the better choice -- the gold accents have a nice sheen to them. The printing on these eucalyptus and gold note cards is beautiful! The watercolor looks authentic, even on the semi-gloss paper, and the gold accents shine. The type is easy to read, and the cards are just perfect!
