Medieval Red Yellow Ferrer Derby Heraldic Pattern Accent Pillow

You probably have seen a family crest ring on somebody's hand. Usually they contain some animal, like a heraldic lion. But often they show typical heraldic patterns. I particularly like the bold colors and clear geometric designs.
For instance the fur, or in this design the "vairy or and gules" from the coats of arms of the Ferrer family. In the middle ages they were the earls of Derby.
The pattern is called a vair, a subgroup of the heraldic classification fur. It is red on "metallic gold" and it makes a great pattern for surfaces.

Great quality, colors, and graphics. I bought this for my storytime area in the elementary school Library where I work. It sits on my great grandfathers rocking chair which is also the storytime chair. Students who have shown good behavior get a turn in the chair and immediately snuggle with the pillow (all Covid safe of course). It been washed/sanitized several times already and still looks brand new. Highly recommended for any Library, nursery, reading nook, wherever you want a bit of cheer and added comfort! :). I went with the advertised print of "Storytime" as it was going in my Storytime area. But it can be customized/personalized and the printing is well done. Clear and no smudges, and in an "old school" typewriter font--love it! Reminds me of my own home town Library decor from my childhood.
