This design features the national flag of Mexico (México), which is officially known as the United Mexican States (Estados Unidos Mexicanos). Mexico is a country in the southern region of North America. The Mexican nation is bordered to the north by the United States; to the south and west by the Pacific Ocean; to the southeast by Belize, Guatemala and the Caribbean Sea; and to the east by the Gulf of Mexico. Mexico is organized as a federation comprising 31 states and Mexico City, which is its capital and largest metropolis.
