Miau is fictitious. It is inspired by a jaguar in Costa Rica. The word Jaguar as the name for the big cat comes from the Tupi language, an indigenous language of South America, which is part of the Tupí Guarani languages. The old indigenous term yaguar has roughly the meaning of "the robbers who kill their prey with a single jump."

This was the second shirt I ordered in the Harry Potter theme and I liked this one better because of the graphic and color of the shirt. The quality of the shirt is just average compared to others I have ordered and runs a little small. I doubt that it will be worn long after laundering. The graphic and print were really cute and looked good on a red shirt.
