Michael Gate in Bratislava Medieval Tower Apron
A historic and atmospheric depiction of Michael’s Gate in Bratislava, Slovakia, the only surviving medieval gate of the city’s original fortifications. Built around the late 13th to early 14th century, it stands among the oldest architectural landmarks of Bratislava. Rising 51 meters high with a distinctive Baroque tower added in 1758, the gate is crowned by a copper statue of St. Michael slaying the dragon, a dramatic symbol of protection and victory.
Today, Michael’s Gate houses the Museum of Arms and opens into the charming Old Town, where narrow cobblestone streets, colorful façades, and centuries of history converge. Great color and even though I ordered the kid size, it covers well enough to use during the holidays. I am not a big woman and prefer a shorter apron. I stand 5"6" and the length of the garment goes to mid-thigh. The tie straps fit well at my waist and even though there is no neck strap adjustment, the opening is plenty big enough. I am happy with the size and fit. I am sharing my apron with my 10 year old grandson, too! The color is vibrant and looks good, as shown on the website. The stitching looks strong and reinforced. Photographed is front side and back side of the apron, reinforced straps and coloring. My phone camera may not be the best at showing the details.
