MICHELANGELO DAVID WITH FIG LEAF CANVAS PRINT
DAVID WITH FIG LEAF ... Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (6 March 1475 – 18 February 1564).
David is a masterpiece[1][2] of Italian Renaissance sculpture, created from 1501 to 1504 by Michelangelo. 'David' was provided with a marble fig leaf in the early 16th century which was not removed until 1912. In this image the David is in front of the Palazzo Vecchio before 1873, with the fig leaf.
The statue soon came to symbolise the defence of civil liberties ... perhaps, a symbol we could use today. The largest size I could make here is this one at 18" x 27" x 1.5". I made the border color to match the fig leaf color. You cannot see the detail in the eyes until you buy this size.

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. It attracts good comments from my friends. I love it! The printing is wonderful! Colors are as bright and crisp as they appeared on the website.

I bought this for our own home. It turned out beautifully, and I would recommend it to anyone who has concerns about the quality of the product. The printing turned out perfect. I did have some concerns how printing would turn out. Would the colors be accurate to the original painting's colors ? Yes. Would the sides look right? Yes. Would the bend affect the presentation? No, it's beautiful.
I took these pictures hurriedly, on a dark, rainy day, and the room is not particularly light any time. Regretfully, the photos do not do justice to the artwork.
