Milk Maid on a Rowing Boat (by Albert Edelfelt) Stone Coaster
This design features a painting by the Finnish-Swedish artist Albert Edelfelt (1854–1905). It depicts a young woman wearing a blue dress as she holds onto the oars of the rowing boat that she's travelling in. She is wearing a white scarf around her neck. The woman works as a milk maid, and there are metal churns on the boat storing the milk, as she transports it. She is rowing in a Nordic harbor, and there are other rowing boats and sailboats behind her. The original artwork was painted by Albert Edelfelt in 1889.

I had been looking for coasters in stores for a while now. So glad when I found these coasters. I made a set of six using my own photos. The travertine was exactly what I had wanted for the "old world" effect and adding my favorite photos made them simply perfect!
